INCREASE IN THE LEVELS OF SERUM PHOSPHOMONOESTERASES & TOTAL CHOLESTEROL & DECREASED SERUM TOTAL BILIRUBIN LEVELS WE TOTAL PROTEIN & RNA, & DNA CONTENTS WERE ALSO DECREASED BUT AN INDUCTION OF THE ACTIVITIES OF BETA-GLUCORONIDASE AND BETA-GALACTURONIDASE ENZYMES OCCURRED ONLY IN THE KIDNEY AND TESTES OF TREATED ANIMALS. POST-MORTEM EXAMINATION REVEALED FAT DEPOSITS AROUND THESE ORGANS. THE RESULTS SEEM TO INDICATE THAT FREQUENT CONSUMPTION OF COLA NUTS MAY LEAD TO TOXIC HAXARDS.
