| Disease | GREATER THAN 80% OF THE RADIOACTIVITY WAS EXCRETED IN THE FECES BY 48 HOURS POSTADMINISTRATION, WITH FECAL ELIMINATION ACCOUNTING FOR MORE THAN 95% OF TOTAL RADIOACTIVITY BY 144 HRS. URINARY EXCRETION WAS BETWEEN 2 AND 4% OF THE DOSE. LOW LEVELS OF RADIOACTIVITY WERE PRESENT IN THE LIVER,KIDNEYS AND BONE AFTER 144 HOURS IN ALL DOSE GROUPS. HIGHER LEVELS OF RETENTION WERE OBSERVED IN THE FEMALES AT ALL DOSE LEVELS. PLASMA DISAPPEARANCE DATA WERE ANALYZED WEIGHTED NONLINEAR REGRESSION AND THE RATE CONSTANTS WERE CALCULATED. THIN-LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY ON FECAL EXTRACTS REVEALED THE MAJORITY OF THE LABELLED ROTENONE (MORE THAN 80%) WAS METABOLIZED AND 4-6 MAJOR METABOLITES WERE QUANTITATED. |
