| Disease | DAILY DOSING FOR 30 DAYS. SPERMATOGENESIS WAS ARRESTED AT THE EARLY SPERMATID STAGE. THE TUBULES SHOWED DISQUAMATION OF GERMINAL ELEMENTS IN THE LUMEN. THE TUBULES CONSISTED OF SPERM ATOGONIA,SERTOLI CELLS,SPERMATOCYTES AND DEGENERATED SPERMATIDS. LEYDIG CELLS WERE ATROPHIC. AFTER 45 DAYS TREATMENT A GENERAL DERANGEMENT IN THE TUBULES WAS OBSERVED. THE SPERMATOCYTES WERE DARKLY STAINED AND BETWEEN THEM EMPTY SPACES WERE SEEN SUGGESTING DISAPPEARANCE OF TUBULAR ELEMENTS. LEYDIG CELLS WERE ATROPHIC. AFTER 60 DAYS TREATMENT,MARKED DEGENERATIVE CHANGES WERE NOTICED IN THE SEMINIFEROUS TUBULES. HYPOPLASIA OF ALL GERMINAL ELEMENTS EXCLUDING SPERMATOGONIA WAS OBSERVED. REDUCTION IN WEIGHT OF TESTES,EPIDIDYMIDES, SEMINAL VESICLES,PROSTATE AND PITUITARY WAS NOTED AFTER TREATMENT. |
