O.2 AND 4.0 MG/KG RESPECTIVELY. AT DOSES OF 0.01 OR 0.05 MG/EGG DELAYED HATCHABILITY BY 10 AND 60%, RESPECTIVELY. ON DAY 19 OF INCUBATION,THE GOSSYPOL-TREATED EMBRYOS SHOWED PATHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN THE LIVER,AN EXTENDED BILE SAC,HYPERVOLEMIA OF THE HEART VENTRICULI,MYOCARDIAL HEMORRHAGES AND INCREASED WEIGHT. ALSO,DECREASED BONE AND LIVER WEIGHT AND CRANIOCAUDAL LENGTH AND THE LENGTH OF THE EXTREMITIES. AT DOSES OF 0.0005-0.001 MG/KG,GOSSYPOL CAUSED NO TOXIC RESPONSE. |
