NECROPSY REPORTS OF SIMPLE ALKALOID TOXICITY INDICATE SHRUNKEN, FIBROTIC LIVER AND INCREASED FLUID IN BODY CAVITIES. LIVERS SHOW CHRONIC ATROPIC HEPATOPATHY, CELL LOSS AND BILE DUCTULE HYPERPLASIA, WITH LIPID ACCUMULATION AND OTHER DEGENERATIVE CHANGES. SHEEP SHOW WEIGHT LOSS AND EMACIATION. ALKALOID TOXICITY PREDISPOSES SHEEP TO HEPATIC COPPER ACCUMULATION. |
