TWO GROUPS-ONE RECIVED HEPARIN (5000 -BOLUS FOLLOWED BY 100U/HR) OR HIRUDIN (0.1 MG/KG BOLUS, FOLLOWED BY 0.1 MG/KG/HR). THE PRIMARY END POINT (DEATH, RECURRENT MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION, SEVERE CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE OR CARDIO GENIC SHOCK BY 30 DAYS) OCCURRED IN 11.9% OF THE HEPARIN GROUP AND 12.9% OF THE HIRUDIN GROUP. PERCENTAGE OF BLEEDING INCIDENTS WERE SIMILAR IN BOTH GROUPS. CONCLUSION: HEPARIN AND HIRUDIN HAD EQUAL EFFECTS AS ADJUNCTIVE THERAPY. |
