| Disease | BETA-EUDESMOL ACTS ON THE NERVE TERMINAL AND INHIBITS THE NON-PHYSIOLOGICAL EXPLOSIVE RELEASE OF ACETYCHOLINE. THE LETHAL TOXICITY CAUSED BY LARGE DOSES OF DIISOPROPYLFLUOROPHOSPHATE DISPLAYED IN THE PRESENCE OF OBIDOXIME AND ATROPINE MAY BE DUE TO OTHER MECHANISM(S) THAT IS NOT YET SIGNIFICANT AT SMALL DOSES OF DIISOPROPYLFLUOROPHOSPHATE. IT MAY BE SPECULATED THAT BETA-EUDESMOL SUPPLEMENTS THE ANTIDOTAL CAPACITY OF ATROPINE PLUS OBIDOXINE BY ANTAGONIZING THE ADDITIONAL LETHAL MECHANISM OF DIISOPROPYLFLUOROPHOSPHATE. |
