| Disease | DOT BOLT RESULTS SHOWED THAT ALPHA1(I) AND ALPHA1(III) M-RNA LEVELS INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY AT 60 AND 120 DAYS AFTER THE RATS WERE EXPOSED TO SILICA DUST. THE M-RNA LEVELS WENT DOWN AT 1 AND 3 MO AFTER TREATED BY TETRANDRINE AN POLYVINYLPYRIDINE-N-OXIDE. IN SITU HYBRIDIZATION OBSERVATION REVEALED THAT THE SILVER GRAINS OF TYPE I AND TYPE III COLLAGEN WERE SCATTERED WITHIN THE FIBROBLASTS IN CELLULAR NODULES AND IN THICKENED INTERSITITUM OF SILICOSIS TISSUE. THE AMOUNTS OF M-RNA SILVER GRAINS DECREASED IN THE LUNG TISSUE TREATED BY TETRANDRINE AND PPLYVINYLPYRIDINE-N-OXIDE. |
