IN A DOSE-DEPENDENT MANNER, EGB 761 ALSO QUENCHES THE PEROXYL RADICALS GENERATED BY THE AZO INITIATOR, 2,2'-AZOBIS (2,4-DIMETHYLVALERONITRILE) (AMVN), AS DETECTED IN LIPOSOMES IN THE PRESENCE OF DOPC BY THE PRODUCTION OF CHEMILU- MINESCENCE. THIS EBG 761 EFFECT ON THE PEROXIDE FORMATION MAY BE DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF FLAVONOIDS IN THE EXTACT. A COMMERCIAL PRODUCT, EGB-761, WAS USED.
