A CONTROL GROUP 2ND GROUP(G) RECEIVED STANDARD DIET WITH 10% FRESH GARLIC, 3RD GROUP(CH) RECEIVED 2% CHOLESTEROL AND 4TH GROUP(GROUP-CHG) RECEIVED 2% CHOLESTEROL AND 10% FRESH GARLIC. SERUM CHOLESTEROL WAS LOWER IN GROUP G THAN GROUP C. RESULTS DEMONSTRATE THAT GARLIC EXERTS HYPOCHOLESTEROLEMIC EFFECTS IN NORMAL OR CHOLESTEROL-FED RATS AND REDUCES THE LIVER WEIGHT. |
