THE LINEAR RANGE FOR BER IN SERUM WAS 20-640 MUG L-1 WITH THE DETECTION LIMIT OF 20 MU G L-1. THE AV. RECOVERY WAS (99.85 + 3.20)%. THE CMAX1 TPEAK AND AUC IN RABBITS WITH SINGLE ORAL DOSAGE OF BER WERE 92.7 MU G L-1, 0.63 H AND 491.7 MU L-1 H-1, RESP., AND THOSE IN HEALTHY VOLUNTEERS WITH SINGLE ORAL DOSAGE OF BER WERE 394.7 MU G L-1, 2.37 H AND 3, 028.3 MU G L-1 H-1, RESP. THE CMAX, TPEAK AND AUC IN RABBITS WITH COADMINISTRAITON OF BER AND ORYZANOL WERE 210.8 MU G L-1, 0.65 H AND 1, 105.4 MU G L-1 H-1, RESP. AND THOSE IN HEALTHY VOLUNTEERS WITH COADMINISTRATION OF BER AND ORYZANOL WER 534.21 MU G L-1, 2.45 H AND 4,136.9 G L-1 H-1, RESP. THE CONCN.-TIME CURVES OF THE TWO GROUPS WERE FITTED TO ONE COMPARTMENT MODEL IN RABBITS AND HEALTHY VOLUNTEERS. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT ORYZANOL MAY AFFECT THE ABSORPTION OF BER, THE AUC VALUE BETWEEN SINGLE DOSAGE AND COADMINSTRATION WAS SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT (P>0.05).
